Developed a coupled surface water-ground water model to design a complex
multi-source (52 well) wellfield system. Model used to establish optimal operating
strategies under varying water demand and climatic conditions in order
to maximize production and minimize environmental impact on wetlands along
the Platte River.
City of Decatur
Constructed groundwater model to develop operational strategies for
a standby wellfield to be operated under drought conditions. The operational
strategies were developed to maximize production from the wellfield, whose
operating capacity is four times the safe average daily long term yield
of the aquifer.
